ALSO Sourcing team is looking for highly motivated and exceptional quality and manufacturing professionals to bring design engineered products to life. In this role, the Supplier Development Engineer will be responsible for part production and quality at our contract manufacturers. As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will be responsible for auditing and coaching supplier with all NPI activities, developing strong supplier relationships, and working side by side with our supply & engineering counterparts to push the development of our technical requirements.

You will ALSO be responsible to drive supplier to meet ALSO's program target, on-time delivery to our aggressive timelines, and parts are received at the highest level of quality. In our team, we expect our people to own every aspect of the supplier development process from start to finish and everything in between. This role reports to the leader of Supplier Development Engineer team.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and coach development process of new products according APQP structure at supplier side with cross-functional partners in product developing phase.

  • Implement the supplier verification process from initial survey of new supplier to periodically process and product audit through production lifecycles.

  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues

  • Work with Engineering team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements

  • Implement the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks

  • Promote the use of ALSO preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Maintain the production sustainability of accounted supplier and ensure the effeteness of Corrective Actions /Continuous Improvement.

  • Support supplier quality and technical reviews

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering of Electronic Engineer, Mechanical Electronic Engineer or other Electronic relevant field

  • 3+ yrs relevant experience of supplier quality, manufacturing quality, engineering or TPM/QPM roles in electronic related industry.

  • Knowledge of electronic product manufacturing process is required. (i.e. SMT, PCB, PCBA, ICT, FATP…etc.)

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 is required. If familiar with IATF 16949 or AS9100 would be a plus.

  • Experience in Vehicle, Motorcycle, Powersports, and bicycle commodities and technologies.

  • Experience in e-mobility relevant product would be a plus.(i.e. ECU, MCU, BMS, Cluster, Infotainment…etc.)

  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing, Six-sigma, TPS…etc. would be a plus.

  • Implementation experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action(RCCA) with 8D, FTA, DOE, 5whys or equivalent tools.

  • Implementation experience of APQP tools and PPAP submission flow. Such as DFMEA/PFMEA, Control Plan, Process capability, MSA, and Run@Rates...etc.

  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally with no restrictions on location.

  • Proficient with Google work space and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proficient with CAD tools, Catia/3D experience would be a plus.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin. Vietnamese a plus, including listening, speaking, reading and writing

  • Self-starter with demonstrated program management skills, attention to detail, ability to influence cross-functional teams, ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
