ALSO is looking for a Director of Global Tax & Treasury to shape both our strategic and financial future. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can directly impact the company’s trajectory and the world’s transition to sustainable mobility solutions.
What You Will Do
Build and execute on Also's international tax & treasury strategy; including establishment of global banking & inter-company strategies to support business expansion and scalability
Oversee global tax policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international taxes
Lead tax reporting and audits, working closely with external advisors when necessary
Implement a global tax engine and own filing of sales or value-added taxes in 50 US States, Canada, Europe, Southeast Asia, and other parts of the world
Manage daily cash positioning, forecasting, and investment of surplus funds in accordance with company policies and risk tolerance
Oversee treasury operations in coordination with accounting, FP&A, and tax teams to ensure accurate cash flows, policy adherence, and alignment with corporate governance standards as well as international tax laws and financial regulations
Evaluate and implement a treasury management system to monitor cash positions across bank accounts and balance funds across an international portfolio based on the business' needs
Establish and maintain a set of global treasury policies to ensure scalability and compliance
Monitor FX and other global KPIs to analyze our exposure and risk, and develop an FX impact mitigation strategy
What You Will Bring
12+ years working experience spread across both tax and treasury functions
Master's degree and/or CPA strongly preferred
Experience with Sales or Value-Added Taxes and Corporate Taxes in North America, Europe, and Asia
Experience managing cross-border financial operations and currency risk mitigation
Strong relationship management skills with external counterparties, including banks, law firms, insurance companies, government agencies, and suppliers
Experience developing and executing on intercompany agreements and transactions
Experience with treasury management systems and AI / automation within
Experience launching or scaling a global tax engine
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, scaling environment and with little day to day direction
The salary for this position ranges from $235,000 - $265,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
