About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

ALSO is looking for a Social Media Manager to own and grow our social presence across platforms. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, content, community, and culture. You’ll define channel strategies, manage day-to-day publishing, engage directly with our audience, and partner cross-functionally to ensure social supports brand, marketing, and business goals. The right candidate is both creative and operational, equally excited by storytelling, trends, and building scalable systems.

What You Will Do

Channel Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own platform-specific strategies, with an initial focus on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Align social strategies with marketing goals, sales priorities, product launches, and campaign calendars.

  • Proactively surface platform trends, cultural moments, and product or community insights to Marketing, Creative, and Customer Support teams.

Day-to-Day Channel Management

  • Manage publishing cadence and content calendars across all social platforms.

  • Partner with the Marketing Specialist to brief, review, and approve social assets with internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure content is optimized for platform-native formats and published consistently, on brand, and on time.

Community Engagement & Moderation

  • Monitor comments, DMs, tags, and mentions daily.

  • Respond in ALSO’s brand voice, building trust and connection with our community.

  • Escalate issues to Customer Support or Comms when appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain community guidelines and a tone-of-voice playbook to ensure consistency.

Influencer, Ambassador & Creator Collaboration

  • Partner closely with ALSO’s Influencer Manager on the Comms team to support influencer, ambassador, and creator initiatives.

  • Collaborate on identifying creators, briefing content, and aligning social publishing with influencer activations.

  • Help ensure influencer content is amplified effectively across ALSO-owned social channels.

  • Share performance insights and community feedback to inform program evolution.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Define and track KPIs across growth, engagement, reach, and conversion.

  • Deliver weekly performance snapshots and monthly reporting with clear insights and recommendations.

  • Test content formats, posting times, and themes, optimizing based on learnings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, Product, Local Marketing, and Comms teams to align social with campaigns and launches.

  • Share audience insights and social learnings across teams.

  • Represent the voice of the community internally — what people are asking for, responding to, and excited about.

Professionalism & Process

  • Build repeatable processes, templates, and playbooks as the social function scales.

  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in ALSO’s social presence.

  • Support future contractors or team members with clear guidance as needed.

What You Will Bring

  • 4–7 years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand.

  • Deep hands-on experience with Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Strong understanding of social-first storytelling, trends, and platform best practices.

  • Experience working alongside influencer or creator programs, even if not directly owning them.

  • Comfort balancing creative instincts with performance metrics and data.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • A proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset.

The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience, location, and qualifications. This role will be based out of Seattle, WA. Interested candidates must be willing to come into the office 3-5 days a week.
