As a Squad Manager of Hazardous Solutions, you will lead a multidisciplinary squad responsible for delivering high-quality product experiences end to end. You will play a key role in building the foundation of a new team, hiring and developing engineers, setting technical and delivery standards, and shaping how the squad operates.

You will manage and mentor squad developers, own execution and quality, and act as a player-coach by contributing hands-on to design and development for new product offerings within our portfolio.

You’ll work closely with Product and Design partners to take initiatives from discovery through delivery, serving as the bridge between strategy and engineering execution. You will leverage each individual’s strengths and motivations, define clear growth paths, and help team members succeed while delivering meaningful business outcomes.

A Day in Your Life

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary squad of 3–5 engineers across backend, frontend, and mobile.
  • Own the squad’s execution velocity and delivery quality, driving features forward, tracking progress, proactively raising risks, and removing blockers.
  • Partner closely with the squad’s Product Manager and Designer to translate discovery into high-quality engineering execution.
  • Collaborate with Augury’s Project Management function and other development teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end delivery across the platform.
  • Contribute hands-on to development, primarily within Augury’s backend Golang-based SaaS platform, acting as a player-coach.
  • Serve as a key connection point between Augury’s PR&D leadership in Israel and the India-based engineering team—championing Augury’s product-engineering ways of working while thoughtfully adapting them to local needs.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in backend development within a modern SaaS environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proven experience leading software design and architectural decisions in distributed, microservices-based systems.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, leading and mentoring teams of 3–5 engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large initiatives or projects from discovery through MVP and iterative delivery, operating with an Agile mindset.
  • Experience working in modern execution frameworks, including short development cycles, automated testing, and a strong focus on engineering quality.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience leading or working closely with mobile development teams.
