WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Perform incoming inspection of server components, chassis, racks, cables, power distribution units, and hardware subassemblies.
- Conduct in-process inspections during mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Perform final inspection and validation of completed server racks and integrated systems prior to shipment.
- Verify builds against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Inspect for proper torque, labeling, cable routing, grounding, and workmanship standards.
- Validate installation of servers, networking components, storage units, and power systems.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conforming materials (NCMs).
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve quality and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in server assembly, electronics manufacturing, data center hardware, or electromechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Experience with ESD handling procedures and electronic component inspection.
- Proficiency using measurement tools (calipers, torque tools, multimeters, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience with server rack builds, networking equipment installation, or data center hardware integration.
- Familiarity with IPC standards or ISO-based quality systems.
- Experience in NPI or startup manufacturing environments.
