Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Component Engineer
Capstan Medical
Santa Cruz, CA, USA
Posted on Mar 25, 2026
At Capstan Medical, we’re building what many consider one of the most promising and innovative startups in medtech today—pioneering a first-of-its-kind, robotic-assisted approach to mitral valve replacement. Founded in 2020, our technology has the potential to transform heart valve disease treatment for patients at high risk for surgery into a precise, low-stress procedure for both patients and clinicians. By combining surgical robotics, catheter-based delivery, and next-generation implants, we’re addressing a significant unmet patient need while laying the foundation to advance treatment across additional valve conditions in the future. Based in Santa Cruz, we offer the rare combination of cutting-edge Bay Area innovation and a lifestyle-driven environment that fuels creativity—just minutes from trails, ocean, and open space. If you’re motivated by the chance to do truly life-changing work alongside a world-class team, this is the place to build something that matters
