About The Role
As Senior Counsel at Cerebras, you will lead and negotiate complex commercial transactions supporting Cerebras’ supply chain and engineering organizations. You will also have an opportunity to support the revenue team on government contracting and strategic partnerships. The attorney in this role will operate in a high growth environment and will be comfortable working collaboratively and proactively within Legal as well as cross-functionally. This position will report directly to the VP, IP & Commercial. Executives are in-office, which enables critical business knowledge and organizational decisions in a fast-paced environment. So, this attorney will be required to join their colleagues in-office to maximize success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor for Cerebras’ supply chain, engineering, and strategic partnership teams—driving business outcomes and shaping the future of AI hardware and software.
- Spearhead the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts—including cutting-edge technology transactions, supplier agreements, and government contracts.
- Advise on a wide array of legal matters, including intellectual property, licensing, regulatory, AI governance, and legal developments relevant to AI platforms.
- Lead legal operations improvements, compliance initiatives, and optimize contract templates and processes supporting rapid growth and innovation.
Skills & Qualifications
- At least 6 years of combined law firm and in-house experience in commercial transactions.
- Deep familiarity and demonstrated success negotiating complex commercial transactions and IP-focused agreements.
- Understanding of generative AI and semiconductors.
- Experience with semiconductor and hardware supply chain, manufacturers, distributors, and partnership ecosystem.
- Business acumen and critical thinking with the ability to think on one’s feet and interact confidently with clients.
- Strong ability to quickly learn other practice areas, and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can-do attitude and strong work ethic; no task is beneath you and no problem is unsolvable.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and California bar admission required.
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $260,000 annually. Actual compensation may include bonus and equity, and will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
