About Mind Robotics
The hardest problems in AI are solved when researchers and engineers are hands-on with hardware. At Mind Robotics, we solve for the real world. We're building a lean, collaborative team where every individual has a massive impact and we look for builders who are passionate about robotics and live for the challenge of making systems work in messy, complex environments.
The Role
We're hiring an Integration Engineering Manager to lead the on-site team responsible for bringing our data collection infrastructure to life inside the Rivian manufacturing facility in Normal, IL. This is a deeply technical, deeply hands-on leadership role: you'll own everything from reviewing station CAD and planning camera layouts to commissioning hardware and keeping stations running around the clock.
You'll serve as the primary technical bridge between Mind Robotics HQ and plant operations - the person who can walk a factory floor in the morning, solve a network failure by noon, and review a fixture design by end of day.
What You'll Own
Onsite Technical Lead - Partner with Rivian Shop Managers and technical leads.
Station Design & Deployment - Review station CAD to plan data capture. Own station rollout: designing custom fixtures, procurement, installation, and commissioning
Team Leadership & Uptime - Manage a team of Field Techs and other Integration Engineers responsible for 24/7 station uptime. Serve as the escalation point for all on-site hardware, network, and operational failures
Cultural Leader - Build a culture of rigor and ownership on the technical team - fast diagnosis, clean fixes, no finger-pointing
Qualifications
5+ years in manufacturing engineering, systems integration, or a closely related field
Hands-on experience with industrial networking and hardware deployment at scale
Proven track record managing technical teams in factory environments
Comfortable designing and working from CAD; able to translate plans into real-world installations
Strong instincts for hardware troubleshooting - you can diagnose a failure fast and communicate the fix clearly
Excellent cross-functional communicator: equally effective with HQ engineers and plant floor managers
