About Mind Robotics

The hardest problems in AI are solved when researchers and engineers are hands-on with hardware. At Mind Robotics, we solve for the real world. We're building a lean, collaborative team where every individual has a massive impact and we look for builders who are passionate about robotics and live for the challenge of making systems work in messy, complex environments.

The Role

We're hiring an On-site Operations Manager to own our data collection program at the Rivian manufacturing facility in Normal, IL. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role: you are Mind Robotics on the ground. You'll be the connective tissue between our engineering team and one of the most exciting automotive plants in the world keeping stations running, data flowing, and relationships strong.

If you thrive in fast-paced industrial environments, love building systems from scratch, and know how to earn trust on the factory floor, this role was made for you.

What You'll Own

  • Relationships - Serve as the primary liaison between Mind Robotics and Rivian plant operations, shift managers, and facilities teams.

  • Train the trainer - Run program with Rivian Shift Leads so every operator knows what they're doing and why it matters

  • Feedback & Communication - Collect ground-level insights from operators, shift leads, and plant staff — and make sure they reach the right people at Mind

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in manufacturing operations, technical program management, or a related field

  • Track record managing shift-based, hourly workforces with empathy and authority

  • Strong stakeholder management skills - you can build trust at every level, from shift leads to plant directors

  • Organized and data-driven; you keep things moving without losing the details

  • A natural communicator who can translate between an engineering team and a production floor
