Director, Technology

**This position will be remote until the completion of our site in Philadelphia, PA**
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide hands on technical expertise across sites and domains, including office, R&D, and manufacturing technology.
• Lead the implementation of industry best practices across sites, ensure GMP compliance where applicable, and maintain audit/inspection readiness for health authorities (FDA).
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to identify technology needs, and evaluate and deploy appropriate solutions.
• Oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure across all sites, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.
• Lead efforts to meet quality and validation expectations, and author and review applicable SOP’s.
• Proactively collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives, with a focus on compliance, operational efficiency, infrastructure support, and system improvement.
• Lead technology initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships, including contract negotiations, conduct evaluations of vendor performance, and ensure optimal technology alignment.
• Drive innovation through the creation, development, and deployment of novel technology solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions, with an emphasis on compliance, data integrity, and security protocols.
• Recommend and implement process and technology improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure technological competitiveness.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of technology initiatives.
• Provide leadership coverage for the Vice President, Technology Development, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field required; Advanced degree in a technology-related field preferred.
• 8+ years' experience in technology-related role, such as IT management or software development required.
• 5+ years' experience in management level role required to lead and manage a team of technology professionals.
• 5+ years pharmaceutical, CDMO, manufacturing or related industry required.
• Advanced technology skills, including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity required.
• Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
• Leadership and coaching skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and analytically driven.
• Ability to participate in cross-functional teams.
• Extended hours, shift and weekend work may be required time to time.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to other sites, conferences, or other approved / required needs.
• Must be able to sit and work at a desk for a prolonged period of time.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs on an occasional basis.
THE FINE PRINT:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 per year. Please note that compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
