About Us

Reframe Systems is on a mission to build fast, cost-efficient, and climate-resilient homes for everyone. Through our modular building platform and highly automated production process, we reduce costs, shorten delivery times, and lower embodied carbon for housing projects of all sizes—from single-family homes to large multifamily developments. Our first software-driven factory in the greater Boston area (Andover, MA) is just the beginning of our national expansion. Backed by leading venture capital firms in the industrial and construction sectors, we are transforming how homes are built.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Robot Operator to help run and improve the robotic systems that power our microfactory. This is an operations-first role focused on keeping our automation running smoothly, troubleshooting issues in real time, and helping streamline production processes. You’ll work closely with engineers and factory staff to identify bottlenecks and push for continuous improvement.

No formal degree needed, we’re especially excited to meet candidates who are mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, and eager to learn. Whether you built robots in high school, worked on job sites, or taught yourself Linux, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time, hourly position based at our factory in Andover, MA, following a 10-hour shift, Monday–Thursday schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor robotic workcells in a live production environment

  • Troubleshoot system issues (mechanical, electrical, software) in partnership with engineering

  • Suggest and implement practical improvements to processes and system performance

  • Use Linux tools (CLI, Bash) and custom interfaces to control and monitor automation equipment

  • Document operating procedures, issues, and fixes to support team knowledge

  • Collaborate closely with both the production and engineering teams to maintain uptime and increase throughput.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working with hardware; on the job, in a shop, or personal projects

  • Basic comfort using Linux and command-line tools (CLI, Bash)

  • Clear communication skills and a bias toward action when solving problems

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around machinery

  • Self-direction and ownership, you’re the kind of person who doesn’t wait to be told what to fix

Nice to Have

  • Experience with industrial robots (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, UR) or ROS

  • Background in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing

  • Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience

  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python) or version control tools like Git
