About SafelyYou
SafelyYou’s passionate mission is to empower safer, more person-centered care across senior living through world-leading AI, industry-changing hardware, and remote expert clinicians, significantly improving outcomes for residents while increasing peace of mind for families and reducing costs for communities.
Originating in 2015 as the doctoral research of CEO George Netscher—and inspired by his own family's experience with Alzheimer's disease—SafelyYou was spun out of UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, one of the top five AI research groups in the world. And today, our company is solving critical challenges in senior living, from resident falls and ER visits to staffing concerns, length of stay, and NOI. All helping ensure that communities can focus on improved care for residents while still reaching their financial goals.
SafelyYou is one of five most innovative fall technologies referenced in the Senate Falls Report (2019), a winner of the McKnight’s Tech Partner of the Year, and has been named to Fortune’s Impact 20 list, which recognizes companies making people’s lives better through innovation.
Your Role at SafelyYou
We're hiring a Deal Desk & Contracts Manager to own the commercial operations that sit between Sales, Finance, and Legal. This isn't a back-office processing role — you'll be a strategic partner to our sales team, structuring deals, managing contracts end-to-end, and building the processes and systems that make revenue predictable and scalable.
You'll be the person who knows every deal inside and out: how it's structured, what the terms say, where it sits in the pipeline, and what needs to happen to get it closed cleanly. You'll work directly with reps, sales leadership, finance, and legal to move deals from handshake to signed contract — and make sure what we sign is what we can bill, recognize, and pay commission on.
This is a high-ownership role in a company that's growing fast and building its commercial infrastructure for the first time. If you've been in a deal desk that runs on muscle memory and templates, this probably isn't for you. If you want to build one from scratch — including leveraging AI to automate the repetitive parts — keep reading.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Structuring & Pricing
Partner with Sales on deal structure, pricing, and packaging for new business, expansions, renewals, and change orders
Serve as the go-to advisor on what's standard, what needs approval, and how to get non-standard deals across the finish line
Enforce and refine our deal approval matrix — direct reps to the right approvals for special pricing or terms, then execute once approved
Launch new products, pricing, and packaging into our GTM systems as the business evolves
Contract Management
Own the contract lifecycle: generate order forms, manage red lines, coordinate legal review, and drive deals through signature
Maintain a clean contract library — aggregate all contracts per operator so expansion templates inherit the correct legacy terms, pricing, and cancellation language
Be Finance's front line: flag billing structure issues, non-standard payment terms, or revenue recognition risks before contracts are executed
Partner with Legal on non-standard terms, ensuring speed without exposing the business
Process & Systems
Build and own the quote-to-sign process from the ground up — we need someone who can design it, not just run it
Maintain data quality across Salesforce, QuotaPath, and PandaDoc — order forms, contract data, and deal records should be accurate and auditable
Run month-end and quarter-end deal audits to support clean reporting and revenue recognition
Track deal and pricing insights (discounting trends, cycle times, exception rates) to inform GTM and pricing strategy
AI & Automation
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive deal desk workflows — contract generation, approval routing, template selection, data entry
Build or champion AI-driven tools for contract review, term extraction, and deal analysis
You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be the kind of person who looks at a manual process and immediately thinks about how to eliminate it
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work across Sales, Finance, Legal, Customer Success, and Implementation to ensure deals are structured for clean handoff downstream
Train and enable the sales team on deal processes, contract templates, approval workflows, and best practices
Be the connective tissue between what Sales promises and what Finance/Legal/Implementation can deliver
The Ideal Candidate:
Must have:
4-6+ years in Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Commercial Operations in B2B SaaS
Hands-on experience managing contracts, order forms, and quote-to-sign workflows
Strong commercial judgment — you understand SaaS economics, pricing structures, discounting, and standard commercial terms
Experience working directly with Legal and Finance on contract language, billing terms, and revenue recognition
Salesforce proficiency; experience with CPQ, CLM, or billing tools is a plus
Comfort building processes from scratch in a scaling environment — you've done 0-to-1, not just inherited a playbook
Exceptional attention to detail — you're known for clean contracts and reliable data
Strong communication skills — you can say no to a rep, explain why to a VP, and get Legal to move faster, all in the same day
Nice to have:
Experience with commission operations or sales compensation tools (e.g., QuotaPath, CaptivateIQ, Spiff) — our deal desk sees every deal, which means you're closest to the data that drives comp
Experience in healthtech, senior living, or industries with complex multi-site / multi-entity deal structures
Familiarity with AI tools for document review, workflow automation, or process optimization
Experience with PandaDoc, Ironclad, or similar contract/signature platforms
