NPI Engineer
Veev
About Veev
Veev is leading the transformation of the construction industry with an innovative approach to modular home construction. Veev’s prefabricated closed-panel systems allow homes to be assembled efficiently on-site while delivering a more sustainable and higher-quality final product than traditional construction. As a new subsidiary of Lennar, Veev leverages the strength and scale of its parent company while maintaining the speed and disruptive approach of its roots as a Silicon Valley-based startup. Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multidisciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.
This role is critical to Veev's mission of transforming the construction industry with modern, sustainable, and efficient construction techniques. In this role, you will directly contribute to the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of modern home construction by leading the development of new products or features to downstream partners. Your work will have a tangible impact on Veev’s ability to scale operations and drive industry-wide change.
The Role
As an NPI Engineer, you will work within the US Engineering team and directly contribute to the release of new products or features to cross-functional and global teams. Typical partners include Manufacturing (Fab), Building & Installation (Site), Real Estate, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse / Logistics, Marketing, Legal, etc. teams. This role bridges the gap between design and field implementation - ensuring new products and features are validated, buildable, and seamlessly integrated into construction workflows through on-site validation, troubleshooting and feedback loops. The candidate will leverage quantified KPIs to track NPI release progress and be proactive in improvement roll outs across new panel systems including MEP, tooling, and standards of documentation.
Responsibilities
- Validate product installations and collect field data to improve installation sequencing and quality.
- Serve as the point of contact between site leadership and engineering during NPI builds.
- Document and communicate field lessons learned for integration into next release cycles.
- Develop and manage comprehensive Release Notes to communicate key product and process changes across various departments:
- Scope & Overview of the NPI
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Changes
- Supply Chain Impact

- Building & Installation (B&I) Impact
- Real Estate & Legal Impact
- Product Quality Impact
- Marketing Impact
- Support and lead cross-functional release meetings with stakeholders in Supply Chain, Fab, Building & Installation, Real Estate & Legal, Quality, and Marketing.
- Facilitate discussions on new, obsolete, and modified parts, material flow, sourcing, inventory management, and PLM integration with Supply Chain.
- Support coordination of building & installation process updates including typical details, tooling, and cycle time assessment.
- Ensure alignment with B&I for work instructions, training, safety, and site performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Real Estate & Legal to review impact on permits, zoning, contracts, and legal compliance.
- Work with the Quality team to ensure product quality and process changes are integrated into work instructions, training, and KPI assessments.
