Who We Are
Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.
We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.
You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.
About the Role
Verkada is looking for an experienced Localization Manager to support our end-to-end localization program. You'll be the connective tissue between our translation vendors, product, marketing, and regional teams, ensuring every piece of content, from UI strings to landing pages to sales collateral, is linguistically accurate, culturally relevant, and launched on time. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who is an equal parts process-builder, quality champion, and hands-on project manager.
What You'll Do
- Vendor management: Own relationships with translation and localization vendors, manage SOWs, SLAs, and day-to-day workflow to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Quality assurance: Maintain and continuously check localization quality across product, web, and marketing content; run linguistic QA processes, manage style guides and glossaries, and resolve translation issues quickly.
- New language launches: Lead the end-to-end process for launching new languages/locales, from scoping and resourcing through translation, QA, and go-live, coordinating closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- GTM localization: Partner with regional marketing and sales teams to localize go-to-market materials (sales decks, one-pagers, case studies, campaigns, etc.) for international markets, ensuring messaging lands with local audiences.
- Website localization: Customize and manage localized landing pages per language/region, working with web and design teams to adapt layout, imagery, and content as needed (not just word-for-word translation).
- Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve localization workflows and tooling (e.g., translation management systems, automation, string handoff processes) to increase speed, quality, and scalability as Verkada expands into new markets.
- Budget and reporting: Track localization spend, volume, and turnaround-time metrics.
- Market research: Stay close to regional nuances, competitive localization practices, and market-specific requirements to proactively flag localization needs.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in localization management, translation project management, or a related global content/marketing role.
- Proven experience managing translation/localization vendors and multi-language programs at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Translation Management Systems (e.g., Smartling, Lokalise, Phrase, Crowdin) and localization workflows for both product (software strings) and marketing content.
- Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple concurrent language releases and campaigns with competing deadlines.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills; comfortable partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales.
- Strong understanding of internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) best practices
- A quality-first mindset with sharp attention to linguistic and cultural detail.
- A continuous-improvement mentality, always looking for ways to make the localization process faster, cheaper, and higher quality.
- Experience with AI-assisted translation and quality workflows (e.g., LLM/MT post-editing, automated QA checks, AI-powered TMS features).
- Fluency in English required, plus proficiency in another language, preferably Korean or Japanese.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Linguistics, International Studies, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in B2B SaaS, hardware/IoT, or security industries is a plus.
