VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Calibration Systems Specialist for our Devens, MA location.
Job Purpose
The Calibration Systems Specialist position is responsible for implementation and management of the VulcanForms calibration program, performing functions necessary to ensure that all calibratable assets are indexed and calibrations are scheduled in a compliant and efficient manner. This position requires project management skills to implement a compliant calibration system collaborating with multiple business units impacted by the system, attention to detail, and experience developing and operating systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of compliant calibration system and identify opportunities for improvement within the calibration program
- Ownership of the VulcanForms calibration tracking system (GagePack)
- Index and release of new calibratable assets
- Issue monthly reports of items due for calibration
- Support collection and accountability of all assets due for calibration
- Maintain GagePack based on owner input
- Coordinate calibration activities with outside vendors
- Partner with maintenance and warehouse teams on management of spares
- Issue nonconformances as needed and support nonconformance and CAPA activities
- Review and complete records ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs, agency requirements and accreditation standards and regulatory regulations.
- Implement revisions to applicable work instructions
- Work closely with area stakeholders that are inputs to the calibration program to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working in a regulated manufacturing facility
- Proficient understanding of calibration requirements
- Proficient in management of asset inventory
- General understanding of metrology and GDT
- Knowledgeable in ERP and QMS electronic systems

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to pull, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
