VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for our Devens, MA location.
Job Purpose
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at VulcanForms Inc., your main objective will be to provide hands-on technical support for the commissioning and Qualification of the 3D Laser printers. This work includes providing documentation and floor support for operations and engineering, various forms of data collection, and a strong ability to be detail oriented. The ideal candidate will be versed in components of qualifying equipment for production use. Additional key purposes of this role include documenting new processes and understanding the importance of data collection for testing.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to qualify Laser Printers
- Perform Installation Qualification protocols and write reports for 12 GEN3 printers in 2026.
- Identify areas of improvement of the IQ protocols and effectively communicate proposed updates to engineering.
- Hands-on aptitude that could assist with Machine Build activities to expedite assembly processes when needed.
- Develop understanding of Printer and protocol processes to effectively perform qualification processes.
- Execute machine OQ and PQ activities with engineering supervision.
- Follow procedures & checklists for repeatable startup of machines.
- Experience with industrial machines with the ability to understand inputs and outputs of a system.
- Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns and adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment qualifying equipment or 0-2 years of experience and an Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations
- Ability to follow qualified processes.
- Experience with industrial equipment.
- Ability to use Microsoft office and documentation control systems.
Preferred
- Experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing
- Experience qualifying equipment for medical manufacturing
- Knowledge of Laser printer systems
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, Quality Systems, and SPC tools

The hourly pay range for this position varies by level; final level and compensation will be determined based on a candidate's experience.
Level 2: $26.37 – $36.26
Level 3: $30.94 – $42.54
