  • Apply statistical methods, machine learning, and advanced algorithms to factory data to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities that inform operational and business decisions.
  • Design and execute exploratory analysis and experiments to test hypotheses about process inputs, correlations, and performance drivers.
  • Provide data-backed recommendations to improve manufacturing workflows, yield, throughput, and quality.
  • Create intuitive visualizations and dashboards that make data easy to understand and enable rapid insight into factory performance.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear narratives and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders, including Operations leaders and executives.
  • Partner closely with Data, ML, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Systems Engineering teams to ensure analytics are well-integrated, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Contribute to standards for analytical development, validation, documentation, and reproducibility to ensure trust and scalability of analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or machine learning roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Established experience in statistics, experimental design, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience developing and deploying analytical models or data-driven insights used in real operational environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and results to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, and reproducible workflows.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying analytics or machine learning in manufacturing, industrial, hardware, or operations-heavy environments.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques for time series, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, or optimization.
  • Proficiency in programming with SQL.
  • Experience building or contributing to user-facing analytics tools or dashboards using Python libraries like Dash or Business Intelligence platforms like Tableau.
  • Experience working with large, complex, or sensor-generated datasets.
  • Familiarity with ML production workflows and collaboration with Data Engineering or ML Ops teams.
  • Experience driving adoption of analytics tools across diverse stakeholder groups
