Job Purpose
As a Staff Technical Program Manager, New Customer Development at VulcanForms Inc., your main objective is to manage multiple customers’ portfolio of programs from initial customer contact, through part qualification. You will partner with VulcanForms’ process, quality, subtractive, and manufacturing engineering teams to execute each program. You will also act as the primary working level interface to our customers. You will extract key value add requirements from your direct conversations with the customer and represent their voice to lead the cross functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing multiple new customer development programs involving internal and external stakeholders
- Working with the assigned sales director to drive all NCD efforts to ensure that all program deliverables are met.
- Proactively identify and assess areas of risk, escalate issues in a timely manner, and proactively propose solutions
- Create and maintain the program scope, schedule, budget, risk register, and other program infrastructure. Define and facilitate internal meeting cadence to maintain team alignment, short circuit issues, and provide a forum for escalation.
- Provide regular project updates (written and verbal) to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and communicate the program critical path to ensure cross-functional alignment and focus.
- Develop and manage budgets (including resource loading) for the program.
- May collaborate with and lead multiple project managers all working on one program.
- Define, plan, and facilitate customer meeting cadence, visits, and workshops as required.
- Drive resolution of critical program risks and issues
- May be required to mentor Project Managers in leading their project.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of successful, demonstrated experience in managing large, technically complex new product development/introduction projects and programs.
- Mastery of common manufacturing process qualification procedures such as PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, capability studies, measurement systems analysis, etc.
- Mastery in leading a cross-functional team comprised of process development engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing external relationships, especially with customers.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
- Basic knowledge of AS9100, GMP, FDA QSR, and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable presenting to different audiences including experience presenting to Executive Management Teams.
Occasional travel to customers and suppliers, including internationally, as required.
VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match.
The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 to $153,000.
