Position Summary

Watchmaker is inviting applications for the full-time position of Senior Digital Marketing Manager. This position reports to the Creative Director and will support the Vice President of Marketing, as well as the Product Marketing team. This role will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital campaigns to drive demand, engagement, and conversion. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, creative campaign development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable results.

The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment and contribute directly to our company culture and success. This is a remote position with as needed travel to headquarters in Boulder, CO.

Responsibilities

Leveraging scientific expertise and technical content provided by internal teams:

Marketing Automation & Lead Management

  • Design, implement, and manage marketing automation programs, integrating HubSpot with Salesforce, the website, and social platforms to track ROI and campaign effectiveness
  • Map and analyze the customer journey and web visitor behavior, translating insights into experiments, targeted campaigns, and measurable engagement plans
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of multi-channel campaigns (digital, email, paid media) that attract, convert, and nurture leads throughout the buyer’s journey
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to define target audiences and tailor campaign messaging to their needs
  • Evaluate campaign performance and visitor engagement, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize outcomes
  • Own and maintain the campaign calendar, ensuring timely delivery of assets, campaigns, and reporting

Website & Digital Optimization

  • Evaluate emerging technologies that could help bolster Watchmaker’s digital marketing efforts; provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Implement SEO best practices, site performance monitoring, and optimization strategies to improve visibility and conversions
  • Integrate and manage analytics (GA4, Google Tag Manager) and run A/B tests to continuously improve user experience
  • Provide regular reporting on website traffic, conversion rates, and campaign performance

Skills and Requirements

The candidate should have 7+ years’ experience. Experience in biotech and a start-up environment are highly desirable.

The following skills and experience are requirements for the position.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7-10+ years in digital marketing with emphasis on SEO, SEM, and paid social (LinkedIn Ads)
  • Proven experience leading HubSpot (or similar marketing automation platforms) implementation and Salesforce integration
  • Experience in lead nurture, content marketing, and demand generation campaigns
  • Familiarity with CMS/e-commerce platforms (Adobe Commerce Cloud/Magento a plus)
  • Biotech and start-up experience are desirable
  • Certification in Google Ads or LinkedIn Advertising preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and other SEM platforms
  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, GA4, GTM)
  • Basic HTML/CSS for web editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Compensation

The base compensation for the Senior Digital Marketing Manager role starts at $120,000-$140,000 + bonus + equity; actual pay will be adjusted based on skills and experience. Employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off, Holidays, employer covers 75% of base medical plan with buy-up options, EAP (employee assistance program), employer paid dental, employer paid vision, employer paid $25,000 life/AD&D policy, paid parental leave, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% match.
